Projects & Training

We initiated this digital storytelling project to enable Inuit youth to create digital stories about their lives.

We reached out to Inuit youth and the Nunavut community and received funds to pay for equipment, space rental, professional training in film production and editing, childcare, Elder support, Inuktitut language support, and other costs related to the creation of digital stories.

The project involved 6 Inuit youth from 3 different Nunavut communities.  Much of the digital storytelling project had been planned to be conducted virtually. Because of Covid numbers climbing in Nunavut, the entire project ended up becoming virtual.

In partnership with Dr. Colleen Dell, from the University of Saskatchewan, we ran a digital storytelling workshop for members of the One Health office. This was part of a PAWSitive Support Project for Veterans with PTSD and Who Problematically Use Substance. Members of the team are now trained to offer the digital storytelling workshop to others. Get to know a bit more about them through their digital stories!  You can view samples of the digital stories the group produced by clicking on the link above and scrolling to the bottom of the page.
